I purchased my first block 7 years ago and loved it. It still looks brand new and is getting passed along to a friend. (Picture with black handled knives) I just purchased a larger one for my newer knife set. The XL size holds all but one of my set (picture with steel handled knives). I find it much more convenient to keep them stored in the drawer, using less space overall and keeping countertops clear. Well made product and expect to get many years use.
