Not difficult to build, but there are a lot of pieces so it can be hard to figure out what goes where. Everything came labeled with numbers which made it way easier, but putting it all together was a little confusing. Had to backtrack a few times, especially with the tracks for the drawers. Took about 6 hours by myself but I was not in a rush.The island itself is nice and sturdy. The wheels move smoothly and two of them are lockable as well. Shelves are adjustable with three different hole height options for the screws. Great size and style for my studio space.
