**Kudos to the delivery driver! This box is heavy.You need your own tools. They recommend a pencil, hammer, Philips screwdriver, and an electric screwdriver.Most of the wood is solid. The back panels and the bottoms of the drawers are thin particle board. Be careful not to knock the back panels when eating or place heavy items in the drawers. This item should be less than the asking price because of the flimsiness.The drop table moves smoothly and adds quite a bit of space. The island does stand at a nice height for use without stooping (I'm 5'5").It does take time to put together. We had 3 workers (an adult, 16 yo, 12 yo) and it took 3 1/2 hours to complete. Part of that time was the adult putting a piece on incorrectly and having to fix the error. The directions are easy to follow, and all of the components were included. Assemblage wasn't hard, just time consuming.Very nice island. Perfect for small places. Def worth it for the price!It was purchased for the kitchen in the office, needed more storage space. It arrived on time, and undamaged. The finished product is great! Glad I got it. Love the gray color. Holds a lot. BUT, it took a several hours to assemble. A co-worker assembled it who is an engineer, and it took him several hours. If you got the time and an experienced person, then get it.Following directions for the assembly was easy until you have to install the three drawers only to find out that they were not aligned and left you a 1.5 inches gap at the top drawer and the front face of the bottom drawer doesn't close all the way hitting the base of the cart. The preset screw holes for the drawer's rails were not the right height and I have to manually, eyeing it as to where I should relocate the front rail's screws bringing approximately 1/2 inch above the preset screw hole to make the drawers fit well.If not because of that, I'll give this a 5 star.I like the color and the drop leaf, which is ultimately why I chose this island. It was really annoying to assemble and ended up being super flimsy and wobbly. The drawers shake and rattle every time I open them and they are not deep enough to store my foil and plastic wrap not my stirring spoons and spatulas. The cabinet doors are very flimsy too. Another really annoying factor is the knobs for the cabinet doors are in the middle of the door. They should be at the top, but I’m sure the company cheaped out on this feature for quicker production in the factory. This thing is not worth more than $200.Arrived with a few chips. You can tell the wood isn’t the best quality. (not real wood) But over all this island is a good choice for a small kitchen. Fit perfectly in my apartment kitchen.There were a lot of pieces to this as it has tons of storage, wheels, two paper towel or hand towel mounts, cabinets, drawers, and wheels! If i didn’t know myself i might have thought i and a friend could handle but thank goodness i’m not stuck in the chapter of ego. I hired my favorite Task Rabbit contractor and it was done in 2hours. And it’s fully functional and looks great!I thought the quality was good but it was very time consuming to put together ! You have to have a second person to help .. it took the two of us three days to put together I am nit joking ! The first day time invested five hours … the second day same thing the third day probably three hours … big drawback for me
