Vlsrka Makeup Vanity Set with Lighted Mirror & Storage - Bedroom Dressing Table for Women

I got this for my 14 year old daughter and mostly needed it for a space to hold her makeup and jewelry, as well as a well-lighted place to sit and put it on. I'm hoping the lights in the mirror continue working. I like that different types of lighting can be achieved. I like that there are different ways to build this piece according to preference and needs (my last picture shows how we chose to assemble it). I also like that there is a jewelry drawer, which actually eradicated the need to buy her a separate jewelry box.Problems or Cons:It's not fine furniture and I didn't expect it to be at this price point. I got the rustic wood finish (my daughter's choice), and wish we'd have gone with a different one. The contact paper finish for this is shiny, and it does not resemble real wood. It looks fake. A painted look would have been better for this particular piece, in my opinion.There were some damages. See my first two pictures. I'm inclined to think it was packaged this way because there was a LOT of foam in this box. A smashed corner might not seem like a big deal, but damages are very noticeable on furniture. And fact is, when I pay for a new anything, I want it to be in new condition. The acrylic makeup brush caddy is unusable. I'm not going to go through the trouble of contacting customer service, but these issues were disappointing.Lastly, assembly. Not good instructions. Hard to decipher the pictures, and we had had to disassemble once to reposition pieces. But we got that figured out. The worst part was ALL the screws for the legs - bruised hands and a blister the next day. For this part, if you have a drill, I definitely recommend using it. The mirror - Omgosh! It just didn't seem the frame was going to fit on the base. After a lot of consternation, we finally just screwed it on. Took two people (one to hold the mirror in place, and one to tighten the screws). You just have to keep tightening until the frame seats down onto the base. It'll happen, even though it doesn't seem possible until it actually does.As to sturdiness, I'll know more in time as we use and utilize the piece.The instructions were overwhelming at first glance but ended up working out just fine. A screwdriver was included but there is NO way it could have been put together with using just that. A drill is definitely needed. The only negative things I can say about the assembled product is that the drawers on the main part (with mirror) stick and you really have to push on them in order for them to close. The drawers on the secondary part seem a little cheap and don't open and close very smoothly. Lastly, the only thing provided to secure the mirror was a foam block that has a sticky side. Doesn't seem to secure and kinda flimsy. My husband clamped it on for now and it works good in the time being. Oh! And for people who like dark rooms at night..you'll need to unplug the mirror when you want to sleep because the bottom for the light glows and gives off a lot of light (in my opinion). I am a light sleeper and like a pitch black room when I sleep so I unplug it at night.This sat on my cart for sometime, then finally I hit that purchase button. It arrived, was easy to assemble, looks great and gives me the perfect lighting choices. Every girl loves to have that feeling that she can sit down and see her true beauty and with this piece it not only does that but also brings a certain beauty to the room too!I love it! Yes it was fairly easy to assemble if you have experience. If, you don’t, heads up, the instructions are pictures only. Also the drawers on the side unit do not have drawer stops so be careful, they will fall right out until you learn how far to pull them out. The product it’s sturdy and has held up so far.The vanity is very nice. It’s sturdy and has plenty of storage. I do wish that the side drawers had rails like the two middle drawers.Customer service is great. The mirror light stopped working so I contacted the company. They responded to me within 24 hours and ended up sending me a new mirror. I had a new working mirror in a week and so far the light is working correctly.I absolutely loved this vanity until one day I unplugged it and the mirror stopped working in less than a yearWe love this vanity. Love the light settings and ease of use.I was happy and very excited with this vanity set. The instruction is not the greatest but I managed to put them together with the help of my roommate and my mom. The screws for the handle knobs aren't long enough so 2 out of 4 knows did not fit. I managed to find a replacement at home and got the 3rd one fixed. However, the 4th one is still not working and I'm going to find another replacement screw soon at the hardware store. I was most excited for the light up mirror and it was working great for 3 days, then I woke up today with the blue on/off button flashing like crazy and it do not work. Mirror will not turn on or off, only blue flashing light on the button so I had to unplug the mirror.
